Q:Can the speed of the back and forth motion be controlled (slowed)?
Asked by: Tom
- 9/21/2017
A: Hello, yes, we recommend using a 12 volt 5 amp power supply paired with a PWM speed controller. The PWM will alllow you to run the motor at full speed or down to a crawl. See our product PPK-1 Prop Power Kit. Thanks!

We have not yet made formal plans for the leering skeleton, but I have documented the last build and have pictures and measurements for everything. I will be happy to email you what I currently have. Ryan

Q:Does the compact prop turner 2-cpt-2 include the motor
Asked by: Tom Palazzolo
- 7/22/2022
A: Yes, the CPT-2 comes with a motor and is prewired with a power plug. You will still need to purchase a 12 volt 5amp power supply and PWM speed controller to have a completely functioning unit. Our PPK-1 Prop Power Kit comes with all of the necessary components and wiring.

Q:Halloween prop turning mechanism comes with motor ? But no power supply? Double checking
Asked by: neverminderic

A: Hello, yes, the CPT-2 comes with a wiper motor and wired with a power plug. You would need a 12V 5A power Supply and a PWM speed controller to run it. Thanks!

Q:Is the left right motor still available? I have a 18 lbs prop I would like to have go back and forth. It's a giant foam slimmer from Ghost Busters that my wife sculpted out of chicken wire and foam. Would this motor, with proper mounting, support this kind of weight? Thanks.
Asked by: Bobby
- 9/12/2022
A: Hello, I think an 18 pound prop is doable for the CPT-2 using our spine brace kit. You will need to make sure the unit is mounted to a flat surface. You will want to make sure that your “spine” is placed somewhere to try and center the load of the prop above the unit. This will allow most of the weight to push directly down onto the prop. The bearing in that prop is rated at like 105 pounds and will have not issues as long as the spine is vertical.

Q:I see you no longer have listed the compact prop turner which used the smaller Synchronous Motors. Have you discontinued those, or will that be something you'll eventually be getting back in?

A: Hello, As of right now, we will not be getting the smaller Compact Prop Turners again. We will only be carrying the CPT-2. Thanks!

Q:Hi - I purchased the spine reducer to go along with the CPT2 kit; I’m using 1/2 pvc as per the instructions. How do I attach the reducer to the CPT2?
Thanks.
Asked by: Laurel
- 5/8/2023
A: Hello, you purchased a spine brace kit so you will need to use 1 inch PVC at the CPT-2 and run that until you get just above the top of the spine brace bearing. You can install the reducer onto the 1 inch pipe and run the half inch pipe from there.

Q:Hello. What is the distance from the centre of the shaft to the outmost reach of the unit? I have to centre the vertical shaft it in a prop and have limited room to the sides. Thanks.
Asked by: Bart
- 6/21/2024
A: Hello, From the center of the "shaft" where the PVC pipe is inserted into the unit to the end of the drive arm is approx. 6 inches. The drive arm sticks out about 1/2" past the body of the tuner.
