04/03/26 We have a limited number of our CPT-2 Prop Turners that came in with the motor mounting holes oriented incorrectly. You will likely need to redrill the motor mounting holes. Aside from that these are 100% new and perfect. (MOTOR IS NOT INCLUDED) You will receive a complete unit (MINUS THE MOTOR). We are also including a drive arm roller and hardware kit, mounting screws, and instructions. YOU WILL NEED TO PROVIDE A WIPER MOTOR AND A WIPER MOTOR DRIVE ARM TO COMPLETE THIS MECHANISM.
Looking for a simple prop animation kit?
Our updated design was built to provide a more robust solution for building an animated prop requiring a back and forth motion. The machined aluminum parts provide a lightweight, rugged construction. We have also added mounting holes to the sides of the bracket for attaching a spine brace directly to the unit without any external support. The turning assembly rides on a 3 inch swivel bearing that is rated at 200lbs of down force and the base accepts 1 inch PVC pipe for easy connection. It can be made to accept 3/4" or 1/2" PVC with the addition of a reducer fitting. The kit includes a low friction nylon roller for quiet operation and long life. Mounting hardware is included.
Installation notes:
Horizontal mounting only! Mounting surface must be level to keep components properly aligned.
The "spine" must be supported above the unit to prevent side loading of the bearing! Failure to do so will cause binding and premature failure.
Keep the unit dry. If you plan to leave it outdoors, you must provide some reasonable protection from the elements.
